There are many opportunities at Christ Lutheran Church to serve God with your time and talent, from cleaning and crafts to teaching and spreading the Gospel. Below are a description of the boards that were created at Christ to carry out the activities, programs and duties necessary for a church to operate.

If you have a desire to be in church leadership...
Board of Lay Ministry (Elder's)
The nature of the duties of this Board requires that only men noted or their Christian knowledge, zeal and experience in spiritual work of the Kingdom of Christ be elected to membership. The basic objectives of this board are to:
- show concern for the spiritual welfare of the pastor and congregation members individually and corporately
- supervise everything pertaining to congregational worship

If you have a desire to share the Word and love of God to others..
Board of Evangelism
The basic objectives of this board are to
- bring the gospel to the unchurched
- enlist all of God's people in the work of spreading the gospel
- deepen the faith and activity of the members of the congregation
- participate in visitation program

If you have a desire to help educate others about the Lord within the church..
Board of Parish Education
The basic objectives of this board are to:
- plan and administer the total educational program within the parish
- determine policies
- direct and supervise the entire educational program within the parish.

If you have an interest in writing, advertising, promoting the church.....
Board of Public Relations
The basic objectives of the board are to:
- present to the public the Christian image which will reflect favorably upon the work of Christ and the congregation as His instrument
- Publicize the work of the congregation through various channels....news media, Chamber of Commerce, website, church newsletter
- Generally integrate the congregation's work into the life of the community

If you have an interest in school education..
Board of Day School Education (School Board for Preschool and Kindergarten classes)
The basic objectives of the board are to:
- plan and coordinate the functions of Christ Lutheran School
- set policy and procedure for staff and students
- select personnel
- provide for the necessary means and facilities
It is up to this board to be responsible for the Christian nurture of the children at Christ Lutheran School, assist teachers in maintaining Christian discipline, approve curriculum and schedule the school calendar.

If you are interested in working with teenagers...
Board of Young People
The basic objectives of this board are to:
- involve the young people of the congregation in the work of Christ
- provide for their spiritual growth and nurture
- promote genuine Christian fellowship for the young people of the congregation
In addition, it is a objective of this board to develop a program for the social fellowship of both young people and the young adults of the congregation, including various recreational programs.

If you enjoy motivating others to give..
Board of Stewardship (time, talent and treasures used for God)
The basic objectives of this Board are to:
- initiate programs for the development of good stewardship attitudes in the members of the congregation in regard to time, talents and treasures.
- provide for the training and utilization of members of the congregation for the work of Christ's Kingdom
- ensure the financial stability of the congregation and its work through a developed program of dedicated, proportionate, first-fruits giving
In addition a member of this board would help discover and enlist the talents God has given the members of the church, as well as provide the recording of the abilities of incoming members.

If you enjoy maintenance and yard work...
Board of Trustees
The basic objectives of this Board are to:
- ensure the proper maintenance and repair of the church property and grounds.
- provide satisfactory custodial and grounds keeping help
- generally protect the congregation against loss or damage of any kind to church property.
A Trustee would also enlist work crews for special repair, improvement, cleaning painting, decorating, landscaping, grounds keeping and other projects.

If you enjoy organizing events...
Board of Fellowship
The basic objectives of this Board are to:
- strengthen the fellowship between the congregation
- build up mutual cooperation, trust and enjoyment among the members of the congregation.
Ways in which a fellowship board member would do this include planning fellowship nights, dinners, family nights, talent shows; keeping the kitchen stocked with the adequate supplies of coffee/tea/lemonade and paper products and clean up after fellowship events.

If you have compassion for others...
Board of Human Care
The basic objectives of this Board are to:
- plan and implement a plan of social action in regard to the physical and humanitarian needs of congregational members and members of the community.
- together with the pastor, study the possibilities and recommend implementation of offering spiritual services and care to hospitals, homes for the aged, prison and other institutions within the community
- be responsible for the congregational food pantry
- organize food distribution during holidays for those who are in need.
